The highs and lows so far in Brazil 2014

Well what a start to the World Cup we have been glued to the television since it kicked off. This has to be one of the most open starts to a World Cup Tournament ever but so exciting to watch too. Everyone had a South American team down to wipe the floor with the European teams but then in the humid conditions of Brazil Holland smashed the current World Champions Spain 5-1.

Lots of you have taken up our world cup free sports bet no deposit deals to have a go at predicting everything from winning teams to first goalscorer and some of you we know have already won including one very nice accumulator bet.

Round two showed no signs of slowing up

The second round of games have shown no signs of slowing down with a great deal of disappointment around the England camp’s unlucky start to the competition. They now need a miracle to save them and if they do go through with all the right results going their way they will hope for better luck on the field in the knockout stages.
The press as always seem to be on the England teams back but the stats from both games have been decent and on another night Rooney’s header may have gone in off the bar and his driven close range shot would have been placed just to the side of the keeper rather than directly at him and then we have a different result. We must mention though Suarez coming back after 5 weeks out to perform like that is a super human effort and what a finisher this man is truly gifted.
Italy will have to do England a big favour tonight and beat Costa Rica ideally by a few goals to help the English effort and then Italy must also beat Uruguay and hope goal difference takes them through.

World Champions fizzle out

It seems a bright light of World football has gone out with the Spanish side humiliating defeats and early exit at the second round stage. A major overhaul of the squad seems likely and we are gutted that this super talented group will finally be dispersed but excited what the new talent will achieve for this footballing great nation.

There has also been some surprise packages like Australia who really gave a good account of themselves and Colombia who looked really impressive as did Mexico and Costa Rica. With so many teams performing so well and the top teams like Brazil and Argentina stuttering starts will we see a new nation lift this world famous cup?

Whatever happens its been a great start to the tournament and we hope it continues to be as entertaining for us all. There is still plenty of time to secure your free sports bet no deposit offer to place some bets on the next games. Coral have a great deal at the moment and you can find this on the home page.

Here are some thoughts and predictions from the Freebet 247 team for you lovely people, Group A we have Brazil to win the group at a canter. Group B we think Spain will edge it over Holland as the heat will play a major factor in this battle. In group C it’s wide open but we think Ivory Coast will nick this one next up England’s group and for D its got to be England end of story!

The French are in group E and we think despite the heat they will have to much for Ecuador, Switzerland or Honduras. The Argentinians must have been jumping up and down about the group F draw and they should walk into the final stages. G is for Germany as well as the group, no-one in their right mind would bet against a Germany team at a major tournament as we all know they always seem to deliver.

Last but not least it’s group H and we think Belgium will come through with probably Russia coming second. The extreme heat may not suit the Belgians but Russia is pretty cold too so we think that will even that one out.

Whatever happens your free sports bet no deposit deal is waiting

Whatever happens in Brazil you can rest assured that we have loads of free sports bet no deposit deals to keep you going throughout the World Cup and we hope you are lucky in your predictions on the games in Brazil.

Karim Benzema’s first-half strike proved to be the difference as Real Madrid secured a 1-0 win in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final tie with Bayern Munich.

The visitors dominated possession in the early stages without really creating anything of note in front of goal and it was Madrid who took the lead after a swift counter-attack down the left.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who had recovered from a hamstring injury to return to the side, fed Fabio Coentrao inside the area and the full-back was able to cut it across goal where Benzema was waiting to slot it into an empty net with ease.

Bayern soon regained their rhythm and had their hosts pegged back, but it was again Carlo Ancelotti’s side who had the better sights of goal as Ronaldo and Angel Di Maria both blazed over the bar from good positions.

After the break, Ronaldo twice forced Manuel Neuer into making smart saves, while Philipp Lahm could only poke the ball into the side-netting after bursting into the area.

Thomas Muller saw his effort deflected inches wide of the post after Raphael Varane’s block, and Mario Gotze was denied by a smart save from Iker Casillas as the hosts stood firm to take a 1-0 advantage to the Allianz Arena on Tuesday, April 29.

Gareth Bale, who had been suffering from flu, began on the bench, while Bayern’s two most expensive players, Javi Martinez and Gotze, were also substitutes.

The Bernabeu was rocking at the start for Real’s fourth consecutive semi-final, but soon quietened down as Bayern took full control of the ball.

Pep Guardiola’s side enjoyed 85 per cent of possession in the opening 20 minutes, but Madrid managed just fine without the ball, limiting their opponents to a shot by Arjen Robben that was deflected wide, and a soft effort by Bastian Schweinsteiger which Casillas saved comfortably.

Madrid had barely set foot in Bayern’s area up until then but took the lead with their first attack. Bayern lost possession in Madrid’s half and Ronaldo quickly released Coentrao down the left – and the defender pulled the ball back for Benzema to slam home from four yards out.

Di Maria tested Neuer a moment later, before Ronaldo squandered a glorious chance to double the lead. The Portuguese forward blazed over from inside the area when Benzema rolled the ball across to him from the left, one of few areas Bayern looked vulnerable in.

Madrid’s next chance fell to Di Maria, who arrived at the far post to get on the end of an Isco cross, but he shot well over the bar with the outside of his boot. The Argentinian winger then frustrated the home crowd by trying to play in Ronaldo with a backheel, misplacing the pass.

At the other end, Lahm hit the side-netting and Robben’s shot was blocked by Alonso.

As quoted by Sky Sports

Lewis Hamilton has completed a hat-trick of victories for the first time in his F1 career by easing to victory in the Chinese GP ahead of Mercedes team-mate and title rival Nico Rosberg.

Leading the race from start to finish, and never once having cause to check his mirrors, the resplendent Hamilton was in cruise control as he romped to his third successive win.

The 2008 World Champion is now just four points behind Rosberg in the Drivers’ World Championship despite the German’s sturdy recovery to second place as Mercedes wrapped up a hat-trick of their own with a third consecutive 1-2 for the dominant Silver Arrows.

Yet the German’s post-race demeanor told a telling tale with Rosberg seemingly lost for words as he contemplated the scale of Hamilton’s latest triumph, measured at eighteen seconds at the finishing line but perhaps psychologically even more emphatic.

Hampered by a loss of telemetry, Rosberg expressed himself “happy with second” but in what appears to be a two-car battle for the championship the tide, propelled by Hamilton’s superior pace, has turned against him with ominous power. With all the momentum shifting towards Hamilton’s side of the Mercedes garage, the smart money will be on the Englishman claiming the lead of the championship in three weeks’ time when the European leg of the season begins in Spain.

“It feels incredible, it really does. I just have to shout out a big ‘Thank you’ to the team firstly for embracing me into the team last year and for all their hard work,” Hamilton said afterwards.

“I’m so, so happy; I had such a great race and I really enjoyed it – particularly the last few laps, trying to keep temperature in the tyres and pushing a little bit more just to keep the temperature up.”

Perhaps by then a different car will be in position to give the Mercedes a fight for victory. Then again, considering the magnitude of the W05′s current superiority, perhaps not. After pulling away at a rate of a second per lap from the start, Hamilton only had his shadow for company as he disappeared out front to render the grand prix more a procession than an actual race.

Fifth after a bumpy ride through the first corner, Rosberg’s recovery was principally the equivalent of a knife cutting through melting butter in the class-apart W05 with only the ongoing travails of Sebastian Vettel provided compelling intrigue as the 56 laps – only 55 will be classified after the chequered flag was waved a lap too early – ticked down to its inevitable conclusion.

Free Bets On Arsenal

Here at Free Bet 247 we offer you unlimited Free Bets, we bring you this article where Arsene Wenger brings his opinion where he states that he is confident of a top 4 place in the premiership

Free Bets Follow Sky

As quoted by Sky Sports Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says his team are able to handle the pressure as they chase a top-four finish in the Premier League and an FA Cup final win over Hull City. The Gunners, who beat West Ham 3-1 on Tuesday, saw their hopes of Champions League qualification receive a boost when Everton suffered a shock 3-2 home defeat against Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening. Everton boss Roberto Martinez claimed his side would rather be in fifth place because it takes the pressure off, but Wenger does not agree. The Frenchman said: “Pressure is positive because you play for something and when you play for something it’s a challenge but, as well, a great opportunity to do well, that is what we live for. “What we want to do is win our next game and the best way to deal with that situation is to win the next one. “I want what is satisfying, and for me it is to do as well as we can until the end of the season and turn and think that this team has behaved really like a top level professional team with the ups and the downs. “You want to feel that your team has given as much as they could and after that you leave the judgement to other people.” Wenger claims the positive mental effect of reaching the FA Cup final, by beating Wigan on penalties in the semi-finals last weekend, and the win over the Hammers has brought belief back to his team. He said: “A team who doesn’t win is not happy and questions come out very quickly, so what is important to play football well is you have to be completely confident and believe in your game. The belief is stronger when your recent history of the team is positive.” Wenger revealed that Mesut Ozil may be fit to play in Arsenal’s game at Hull City on Sunday, which will be a warm-up for the FA Cup final at Wembley on May 17. The German midfielder has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since Arsenal were knocked out of the Champions League by German side Bayern Munich five weeks ago. Wenger is pleased to have the creative ability of Ozil back as the Gunners look to improve their poor goalscoring record away from the Emirates. He said: “It’s good to have him back. He is one of our main players offensively and we are a team that is used to scoring goals. Recently away from home we have not scored so much, so it’s important we get back our offensive potential. “I have to test him physically on Friday and Saturday to see if he can travel, before he got injured he had a period where he was a bit jaded. “He is a fantastic player and I would put him on the list to be footballer of the season – for next season.”
